This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, social media plugins, contact forms or advertising services. All fonts and graphics are served directly from our own web space, so no data is passed to third-party content providers when you load the page.

3. Server log files

Each time you access this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files. This includes:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested and amount of data transferred
  • status of the request (e.g. successful, error)
  • browser type and version, operating system
  • referring website (if any)

This data is processed solely to deliver the website, to ensure its technical stability and security, and to detect and prevent misuse. It is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Log files are stored only for as long as is technically necessary for these purposes and are then deleted automatically, unless longer retention is required to investigate a specific security incident.

4. Contacting us by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (for example your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep this data for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry. Where statutory retention obligations apply (for example for business correspondence), we keep it for the period required by law.

5. Hosting and email service provider

This website and our email service are provided by Aruba S.p.A., Via San Clemente 53, 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG), Italy. Aruba processes the data described above on our behalf as a data processor, on the basis of a data processing agreement, and stores it in data centres located in the European Union.

Italy and the other member states of the European Union are recognised by the Swiss Federal Council as providing an adequate level of data protection.

6. External links

Our website contains links to external services (for example Google Maps for our office locations). No data is transmitted to these providers when you visit our website. Data is only transferred if you click on such a link, in which case the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

7. Disclosure of data

We do not sell your personal data or pass it on to third parties, except to the processor mentioned above, or where we are required to do so by law or by an order of a competent authority.

8. Your rights

Under the applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • obtain information about the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted or its processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a common, machine-readable format (data portability).

To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@blockventure.org. We may ask you to prove your identity before processing your request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the European Union, you can contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

9. Data security

We and our hosting provider take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if we change the website or its technical setup. The version published on this page applies.
